So I have to admit I really like Taylor Swift.

I dont know why, but I really liked my outfit today. 

It made me feel kind of skinny and it was super comfortable! 

&& I love a day when I can wear my beautiful GLITTER TOMS!

School was good today. 

We learned more texture techniques && got to work

out on the floor again. 

One of the best things about school is that I go with some really great people

I have met some really awesome girls that I think I will be friends with for a long time!

They are super fun && really sweet girls.

Today @ school we worked on blow drying techniques. 

Since our core room is super tiny && can't handle all the hair dryers going at once

we got to work on the floor. It was actually really nice && kind of gave us a feel to 

what being out of core will be like. 

I thought this was going to be really difficult for me because we have to hold

a brush and a hair dryer at the same time... 

But like everything else, it is just going to take some time getting used to

&& I actually really like it!!

{except it does get me a little toasty && makes my arms a little tired!}

Anywho

I brought my nice camera to school with my today after lunch because where we were

working on the floor had really nice lighting. 

So I snapped a few shots of my friends at school!

Today was SuperBowl Theme Day!

So we got to look all fun at school!

Quick Post Regarding

So this week is our texture week. 

&&

not to mention that fact that perms are really hard..

but our room is sooo toasty b/c the AC decided not to work for us... 

&& 

half the people in the class are sick! 

So we are all trying to grin and bare it and have a good time through all the messy stuff

but here is my list of 5 things to make a good day.. 

{1} Great girls like Briana that make you laugh!

{2} Funny girls like Nicole that make you smile even if your having a hard time. 

{3} Super awesome people like Lynne that rock at doing perms that make you want to do better!

{4} People that let me take their picture and make class fun by modeling their funny looking doll heads!

&& 

{5} We get to teach each other in class, so it gives us great opportunity to talk and get to know one another and learn at the same time!!! 

Today was another day that was hard to get through, looking forward to moving out of perms and on to something different for a little while.

So I brought our new FLIP VIDEO to school today 

to give you all a real look at what school is like. 

Today was super weird day for me. I was super out of it

and i just couldnt get motivated today. 

then when i came home, i just got very stressed out and had lots of hw for my online class

but i decided to kind of try to shrug it all off. 

So, I took a very nice relaxing bath with my music tuned up and just tried to calm down. 

it seemed to work 

...

I got all my hw done. 

and even had time to play around with my video, post, and organize my binder and books 

for paul mitchell. 

{so apparently I must be doing something right} 

Speaking of Paul Mitchell. 

If you would like to know how its going,  {if you havent been following the posts}

Its been really good. It gets a little hard to wake up some days, but I really enjoy going

I have met some really cool people that 

make the time go by quickly when the days seem long. 

Sometimes I get slightly stressed out when I think about actually doing someones

hair out on the floor. But I think that every day I get a little better, and that I will {cross my fingers} be just fine.

Today was a good day

Zach and I finally got to spend sometime together.. 

Even though I am still sick, 

we had some fun making little men shaped sugar cookies from scratch.

Today was a really good day at school. 

I have a lot of fun with the girls that i go to school with!! 

Today was kind of our day to work on whatever we wanted

 so I work on some hair coloring techniques.. 

Then Briana did a hair style from a photo on my hair!

I did cool cornrows on her hair! 

I dont have any pictures of those because I left my camera at home. 

But I asked her if she could take a picture for me... So hopefully she will.

COLOR WEEK!!!

So this week we started our journey with color! 

Im so excited: This is something that I would really really like to be good at!

Even though I didnt get much sleep last night

I was surprisingly awake at school today

&& had lots of fun!

-Studied the color wheel with play-dough

-Studied most of the color lines Paul Mitchell offers

- Color a piece of hair with Paul Mitchell's Temporary color "INKWORKS"

I SLEPT ALL DAY!

Okay well not all day.. but a good portion. 

&& then Zachie took me to dinner. 

It was so nice to sleep.

So today was a bit of a doozy for me. 

We switched to 9:30 church, and lets just say it was way hard to wake up this morning, 

and i bet people at church were thinking i looked like i just rolled out of bed.

I was really tired!

I had an extremely hard time sleeping last night. 

So then after our "linger longer" at church 

I went home &&

Slept for almost 4 hours!!!

Which made me late for work 

{&& it didnt help that i kind of forgot I was suppose to work}

So Then I drive to IF in the nasty fog && rain..

&&now Im home trying to blog before midnight.

So I just got finished watching 'The Social Network'

Let me tell you... It blew my mind. 

&&

It really got me thinking...

FACEBOOK is worth over 25 billion dollars... Can you believe that.. 

&& the way that it came about and how they manipulated and lied to get to what it is now.. Kind of blows my mind.. makes me think if it is all really worth it??

Do we need to constantly be virtually plugged in to feel "normal" nowadays???

I feel like a slight hypocrite saying this for the mere reason that I'm posting this on a internet blog...

but what do you think?

Can you live without facebook? blogger? or even your E-mail?

I think its a lot harder than we all think. 

On another note.. 

I was tired today. I think the first days of 'excitement' are kind of past

dont get me wrong. I am still very excited about school and it is still really fun

but I was very tired today. It took a lot for me to focus today. 

We did:

+Sectioning

+shampoo sets

+backcombing

+ Hair structure studies

+pH studies

&& I think thats it...

It is only 9:30 and Im  already past ready to pass out.

Day 13

Another great day at school. 

today we actually got to work with our tools and doll heads today. 

it was sooooo nice to finally get some hands on stuff. 

we did:

+cornrows

+french braids

+zulu knots

+French twist {pictured above}

+pin curls

+Finger wave {so freaking hard}

Today was great though, I had a lot of fun and it just gets me so excited for this future adventure. 


&& Zach got my a wonderful present to take to school with me!

Day 12

Day 2 of Paul Mitchell

Sooooooo Exciting! We got our kits today!!!!!

It was a semi last min thing that happen after the day was pretty much over... but it was sooo exciting! 

&& dont worry. I marked my name and engraved everything as well!

 Today we:

+learned about our different learning styles

+ learned about bones and different sections of the head

+ learned about hair types, styles, && the science of hair

+ 3 styles of draping 

+ learned how to do the 5 min. mini massage that we do for haircuts

+  shampooing!!! 

It was a really good day, and I just get so excited to go everyday!!

 I really feel like its somewhere that I belong! 

My class is really different from what my traditional college class have been like at BYU-I

There is a wide range of ages in all the students, and we seem to call from all corners of the US

So it is really fun to meet and talk with the other students. 

I have really like getting to know the other girls and guys in my class! 

So FUN! 

day 11

So I really am sorry! 

But today I didnt take a picture! 

so this is a picture  I got from google of my new school! 

But today was great... 

Have you ever thought.. "Ahhh I am just in the right place?!?" 

Well today.. That is exactly how I felt!

We didnt get into the actual class yet, but we got to know the staff and the people that i will be working with!

Day 10

My computer is back safe && sound! 

I took it to the computer doctor will the ran some test and fixed some things

&&

its back and as great as ever! 

I have had this computer for almost 5 years! 

{Zach && I are both very happy that it didnt die for good!}

So tonight was kind of a boring night. 

We ate at Sammy's {which was yummy!}

Then we came home to watch football && do homework. 

oh the life of married college kids!

{here comes the everyday black wardrobe}

So I put away a lot of my colored clothing so I could make room in my closet for my 

all black wardrobe. 

Zachary was so nice in getting me clothes for christmas so I had this to wear for Paul Mitchell 

{which i start in two days AHHH so nervous!}

Hopefully I will be able to get my computer back soon and so I will start making these posts look a little cuter!

ATTENTION: My computer is now at Computer medical center.. So the next few post might be a little on the low tech side... seeing as all my photo editing stuff is on my computer and I am currently using the Hubs computer.

So these are my after photos with my long locks!

They match up with my top color really well. 

I just have darker color underneath... Where I am kind of thinking

that I need to get some darker extensions to mix in there... but i dont want to have to buy a whole new pack... blahh dont know what to do!! 

But i like them! I think they look good. && until my hair grows out this will be just fine. 

But I promise.. Even though I am going to Paul Mitchell.. Scissors are NOT touching my hair!

Day 6

So today I don't really feel good... 

{no more dairy for me for a long time!!}

But I am trying to get caught up on my online class @ BYU-I

Even though I am not a full time student I am still taking a class to finish up my degree. 

&& I will graduate in April! 

It will be an awesome day when it finally comes! 

Tuesday is my First day of Paul Mitchell && I am super nervous! 

The AFTER picture will have to wait until tomorrow. 

The long locks aren't quite done yet and honestly... I dont look too hot right now! 

So until tomorrow!!

Day 3

{necklace made my my mom Julie}

  Even though I very much look like my dad and nothing like my mom, but I'd really like to think that my mom and I have a lot in common when it comes to our sense of style and creativity 

    {sorry Abbie and Drake, but I don't think either of you are as lucky as me when it comes to that!} 

&& since I am starting Paul Mitchell next week 

    my mom made me an awesome necklace to wear at school! 

+ the hand: symbolizes my mom guiding me through {she also did hair for a number of years}

+ The inch ruler: "when in doubt get it out!" "Measure twice, cut once"

+ The 'K': well thats obvious.. 

+ and the book which is a bunch of dictionary pages reading "Intrepidly" 

     So I am not going to pretend like this didn't make me break down in tears.. because it sure did! 

      It makes me miss being home with my family! 

  If you know my family, you will know we aren't that expressive with how we all feel about one another. We know that we are loved, its just something that we don't outwardly express that much. So little things like this just really show me how much I do mean to my Mom. {love you}

This new stage in my life is going to be a great adventure. I really think it is going to teach me a lot, and I really feel like it is something that is going to bring my Mom and I that much closer! 

So Thank you Mom for everything you have given and taught me! 

Day 2

So I really didnt want this project to be about fashion or anything like that, but I just really liked my outfit today... Thanks Santa!

{Happy Sunday}

  This morning... or should i say afternoon... was really hard for me to wake up! 

    I have been having a lot of issues sleeping lately!! Not sure why, but last night I stayed up until about 4:30 a.m. 

    So as you can probably imagine, I really didn't want to get out of bed. 

Any sleeping tips you want to share?? Make sure and leave a comment below! : ) 

I would really appreciate some help. It has been a few months 

that I have been going through this. 

++ So Just like every Sunday Zach and I got ready and headed off to church. 

           Our ward has met at the same time for the entire time we have been here.. But for some reason today we magically thought up a different time that it started. {The crazy this is that we both thought this without really saying anything to one another! I know crazy!}

   So we show up late {not knowing we were a half an hour late} and we couldn't find our ward! 

So we just ended up going to some random ward that was having sacrament and we both felt like dummies! 

      ++ here is the kicker

                  After church was over we run into our Bishop getting ready to start our sacrament! So we felt like even bigger dummies trying to make our escape! : ) 

           Oh well you live and learn right! 

Hope all is well and that all of you are enjoying my project

Zach and I rang in the New Year with some great friends!

+ I got to talk with my family via Skype for a while {got to talk to my slobbering nephew Grayson man! Miss him so much}
