ramblings...

So do you ever get in those moods where you just completely feel like you are out of the loop
or something?

Well I seem to feel like that on a regular basis
now-a-days

Anywho, if this semester wasnt enough to juggle,
I know get the wonderful task of
1. Finding an apartment in Texas
2. Figuring out how to get all my things to Texas
3. Finishing up my class for BYU-I
4. GO HOME : ) {not sad about this one!}
5. packing up my entire apartment, putting half in storage, and moving 20 hours away.
joy

Life sure is an adventure...
But I am glad that I have Zach to help me out...
I probably would have pulled my hair out by now if he wasn't so great.

so if you have any tips or tricks to moving, or cheap ways to get your stuff to a
new location... please do tell!

  3. Since you are only going to be there a little while pack your "need this" boxes first, then your "want this" boxes and then your "Love this and don't want to get rid of it but don't need to take it to Texas" boxes and finally your "Seriously? What is all this stuff and why do I have?" boxes... take the first category with you, half the second, store the third and donate the fourth... If you pack this way instead of room by room you will not end up hauling a ton of stuff you don't actually need.
Also leave the clothes you will be taking in the drawers and on the hangers they are already on, just throw them in your back seat and drive. It will save SO much time later!
Walmart gives away their boxes, just call the store and ask for the meat department. They will give you all the boxes you could possibly need for free... and they are not to big (to lift once all your stuff is in there)... not to small (that you end up packing 500 tiny boxes).
I would look for storage places in IF or maybe even Rigby instead of Rexburg.... It will suck to pack and drive it there but I bet it will be a lot cheeper that in the burg.

Good luck! It will be a fun adventure!

  4. ps. I know you are probably thinking "duh Kallie we will only take the stuff we need and store the rest" but when Josh and I moved to our "in between" apartment I packed room by room, cabinet by cabinet. When we were unpacking we ended up emptying half the box and then storing the rest. It would have been nice to already have it sorted to begin with... it was like we had to pack and unpack twice. So try and think "two medium or large mixing/serving bowls with be fine... we don't need all six in various sizes.
