Day 3

{necklace made my my mom Julie}

  Even though I very much look like my dad and nothing like my mom, but I'd really like to think that my mom and I have a lot in common when it comes to our sense of style and creativity 

    {sorry Abbie and Drake, but I don't think either of you are as lucky as me when it comes to that!} 

&& since I am starting Paul Mitchell next week 

    my mom made me an awesome necklace to wear at school! 

+ the hand: symbolizes my mom guiding me through {she also did hair for a number of years}

+ The inch ruler: "when in doubt get it out!" "Measure twice, cut once"

+ The 'K': well thats obvious.. 

+ and the book which is a bunch of dictionary pages reading "Intrepidly" 

     So I am not going to pretend like this didn't make me break down in tears.. because it sure did! 

      It makes me miss being home with my family! 

  If you know my family, you will know we aren't that expressive with how we all feel about one another. We know that we are loved, its just something that we don't outwardly express that much. So little things like this just really show me how much I do mean to my Mom. {love you}

This new stage in my life is going to be a great adventure. I really think it is going to teach me a lot, and I really feel like it is something that is going to bring my Mom and I that much closer! 

So Thank you Mom for everything you have given and taught me!
