Save Me, San Fransisco - Train

Heard this on the radio while we were in San Fransisco, thought it would be appropriate seeing as we saw many things listed in the song!

Zach and I took a trip to Sacramento for Jacob and Sam's wedding.. {fellow byui students} and got to hang out with Allen and Megan {former byui students, zachs roommate, and fellow mission buddy}

We had a blast. We got there on Friday and caught up and hung out with Allen and Megan and got to see their beautiful new house that they have worked so hard on! It was wonderful, and made me really excited to be "real people" as I like to call them! haha

Saturday we had a full day of wonderful wedding-ness, where there were like 14 weddings at the Sacramento Temple. It was a beautiful day though! I had never been to that temple before, it was so great. Zach and I got to take a little walk around the temple grounds before the wedding, we had a great time.

The next day Zach, Megan, Allen, and Myself all got into the "silver bullet" {our awesome rental car! haha} and headed to San Fransisco. Another place I had never been to, so I was super excited!
We visited the Seven Painted ladies... with we didnt know thats what is was at the time... and instead thought it was the house from the show "Full House" we were all a little disappointed to find out that it wasnt.... : (
 We checked out Lombard street, the curviest road! It was crazy, especially since people live right off there... i would hate to wait in traffic every day just to get to my driveway.  Megan and I walked up the hill.... let me tell you... it was a work out!
Then we headed to Fisherman Wharf and pier 39, where we had fish and chips.. {chicken and chips for Megan and I} and got to see seals, cool shops, and Alcatraz.
After that chilly walk, and some hot cocoa {yes i had hot cocoa in July} we headed to Golden Gate!
It was a pretty chilly foggy day, but it was awesome!!! I have always wanted to drive across and it was so fun to see all the different tourist checking it out!
We then headed to Muir woods to see the redwoods. We had a lot of laughs fighting for a parking spot! And then had a lot of fun walking the trails.

We decided to drive up even further to the coast and to check out Stinson beach. Even though it was freezing there were still a ton of people in the ocean! Crazy I know! but it was really pretty, and we got to go in actual beach sand!!! yay!
   and yes the trip continues {yes this has been just one day...}
We headed back to Sacramento, but headed through Sanoma instead of going back through the Golden Gate.  It was very beautiful going through wine country... but we got stuck in traffic and ended up taking two hours more to get home! Being stuck in traffic was actually kind of fun, overall we had a great time.

Monday we had to head back here to  El Paso, but with an end in sight. We have just a little over two weeks left here and I couldnt be more excited. I think I took the Idaho/Utah scene for granted. I miss our friends, and the "bubble" I never thought I would ever say that.
I will miss our friends that we have made here, but I have a big feeling that we will be coming back here after graduation.

So here is what you really came for... the pictures : )

sliver bullet!
